Fortress DCH Solar Generator: DC Hobbyist Edition Waterproof & Heavy Duty, w 30A & 50A Connectors & SoC meter
Fortress DCH stands for the DC Hobbyist Edition of our popular waterproof Fortress II Solar Generator. It includes 30A & 50A Anderson connectors for input/output, extra USB and USB-C receptacles, as well as an oversized terminal block inside, to connect additional 12V devices or batteries. Monitor your battery state of charge with the detailed shunt-type battery monitor to view battery capacity, capacity percentage, voltage, current, power, time remaining all from the color screen or bluetooth app.
RevoPower's Fortress DCH is perfect for charging up hobby electronics like drones, Ham radio enthusiasts, outdoor photographers who require portable power for their equipment, camping enthusiasts looking for a reliable energy source in the wilderness, off-grid living advocates who appreciate sustainable energy solutions, and remote field researchers who need dependable power for their scientific instruments in various environmental conditions.
The Fortress DCH is designed for wet environments and harsh conditions and is right at home outside in the back yard 24/7, on your boat, boat dock, in your truck bed or any environment where most solar generators would die. The GR Fortress product line is ready for rain, sleet, snow, mud, washdown, and anything else you throw at them!
What makes them so special? All Fortress models include:
- Solar charge controller with protective potting: The solar charge controllers used in Fortress models are encapsulated in a special flexible material. This material blocks out all water and allows the internal components to expand/contract with weather. In addition, it offers shock protection and distributes heat better to keep the electronics cool.
- Special covers for air flow vents: Solar generators need to breathe. This means they need an air inlet and outlet. Fortress models have special covers that block rain or splashing water from entering.
- Weep holes: If water enters the housing at any point, or if condensation occurs, weep holes allow water to escape.
All electronics are mounted inside which means there’s no exposed wiring and the sensitive components are protected from the elements. Exterior connections are waterproof and designed for outdoor use. Arrives fully assembled and only needs the battery connectors to be plugged in when it arrives (If batteries were ordered).
Being able to supply your own battery, or use our batteries makes this solar generator one of the best and least expensive options on the market.
Featuring our new high performance MPPT solar charge controller, these solar generators can be used with virtually any 12V battery on earth. Installing your own batteries is super easy: Just connect the supplied 5/16” ring terminal wires to your battery’s posts.
