The RevoPower Fortress Solar Generator is ready for rain, sleet, snow, mud, washdown, and anything else you throw at it!
-
All electronics are mounted inside which means there’s no exposed wiring and the sensitive components are protected from the elements. Exterior connections are waterproof and designed for outdoor use.
-
Solar charge controller with protective potting: The solar charge controllers used in Fortress models are encapsulated in a special flexible material. This material blocks out all water and allows the internal components to expand/contract with weather. In addition, it offers shock protection and distributes heat better to keep the electronics cool.
-
Special covers for air flow vents: Solar generators need to breathe. This means they need an air inlet and outlet. Fortress models have special covers that block rain or splashing water from entering.
- Right to Repair-Friendly Design: Gridless Revolution solar generators are thoughtfully engineered to be fully modular, allowing easy repairs and future upgrades. With standard hardware, maintenance is straightforward using common hand tools. This commitment to accessibility ensures that you always have the right to repair and improve your product effortlessly.
- Heavy-duty dual industrial grade waterproof solar charge controllers, capable of handling up to 480W of solar panel input (480W @ 12V DC / 960W @ 24V DC). (Eco version: 240W max)
- External weatherproof 120V 3-prong receptacle installed (all models). If the "no inverter" version is ordered, the receptacle will not be connected to anything so you can install your own inverter.
- Pre-wired and ready to go: 5/16" (6mm) ring battery terminals / Solar Panel connectors. No crimping, splicing, extra wiring needed.
- Padlock latches to lock the box closed
- Built-in short-circuit protection, open-circuit protection, reverse polarity protection, and over-load protection.
- 12V Socket with 30A circuit breaker.
- Perfect for marine, boat dock, trailer, or any long term outdoor application.
- Premium marine grade 200°C rated silicone insulated wire.
- Assembled in USA, Enclosure made in USA.

Super package
I am so impressed with the way this was put together, including the wire wraps and zip tied wires to keep things neat inside! I got it with the 1000W inverter and no batteries. I'm going to add bluetooth batteries to be able to monitor the system. The remote for the controller is a nice feature, though I will likely keep it inside the case. I have it running with one panel and one battery right now, testing it out. Two wishes: 1) I would like to have had a battery tie-down already installed even though I am using my own batteries. I'm going to have to install those myself. 2) I wish the case felt a little more rugged (haven't tested that and it should be good for my needs, but it feels like a softer plastic, and I'm using it for EmComm power so it may get a little banged around)

Great unit
Using it for an electric fence energizer!

Working good
I run it off of a 290 watt panel as the panel will never produce the entire wattage. I connected it to my leg of power that runs my security system which uses 330 watts. So I get a little savings. I am thinking of getting one for the other leg of power to handle all the stuff running and sucking power during the day.

Great for Portable Rig
This is a nice choice for a portable/DIY solar rig. It is more rugged than most and comes with sturdier connections. I also like the remote, which makes it simple to set up for different battery types. It is odd that something so simple would be so unintuitive on other cheap charge controllers. This does lack a nice display for battery or draw info. If that is okay with you, this is a good PWM controller for a small system.
