24V systems require just a little bit of extra knowledge compared to 12V systems, but in many ways they are superior.  The 24V upgrade includes the following:

  • Doubles the amount of solar input charging capacity (CEP300 @ 24V can charge up to 900W) (CEP440 @ 24V can charge up to 2400W).  Be sure to wire the solar panels in series!  Charging 24V batteries requires 12V solar panels to be wired in series.
  • Automatic upgrade to 24V batteries, if your solar generator was ordered with batteries.
  • If an inverter is included in your order, a 24V inverter will be installed.  24V inverters have better performance because they don't suffer from voltage drop issues and they can use more % capacity of your battery.
