Ultra-lightweight and designed specifically for charge speed and portability, this adapter is perfect for quickly charging your high drain devices like a laptop, drone or tablet at up to 100W.

Nowadays regular old USB doesn't cut it.  This USB-C Power Delivery adapter packs an extra punch at up to 100W max output out of a single port.  This adapter is extremely powerful and still lightweight, which makes it perfect for camping, backpacking, hiking, and travel! The aluminum housing means it can take a beating, which makes it great for an emergency power supply after a natural disaster.

Features:

  • Ultra-lightweight and mini design makes it perfect for space saving, like when backpacking.  This adapter is pocket sized and it's our most portable USB-C adapter
  • Capable of step-up or step-down (can provide 20V output even if solar panel input is less than 20V)!
  • Power Delivery means the latest industry standard USB-C port with the protocols to charge nearly any smartphone, or tablet.  The built-in Power Delivery system on the USB-C port intuitively gauges the maximum charge rate for devices requiring up to 100W to provide enough power to charge a compatible iPhone to 50% in 30 minutes — without the fear of overloading the unit!
  • Designed to work in the hot sun!  An all-aluminum housing keeps the internal regulator cool so you can truly harness the power of the sun.
  • Compatible with almost all 12V solar panels

Specifications

  • Minimum Input Voltage: 5V DC

A rare find - precisely what I was hoping for!

Posted by Gordon Lamb on 17th May 2024

It may seem a little niche, but I've been searching for this exact device for years. I was prepared to be let down by some aspect of it; so many "MPPT" controllers are fake (fixed PWM), and so few manage PD correctly. I was a little worried the wire would be soldered in place. My fears were for naught. This little device is *perfect* in every way - barrel plug connection (so easy to pack), fantastic build quality, crazy efficient, and a true MPPT with buck/boost controller. I thought it was too good to be true, but I was wrong. One of my use cases was charging my 15V laptop from standard 5V USB-A. My laptop isn't well behaved (doesn't throttle back current consumption as the input voltage falls), and it does put a standard 2.1A 5V charger into overload when the laptop demands more than ~10W (as it should), but it does charge intermittently (~30% duty cycle between resets), which is exactly what I wanted for emergencies. It, of course, charges everything I've thrown at it just fine with my 60W folding panel. 5 stars. Does what it says on the box!

    Works

I hike a lot and have a small foldout panel for my phone and my flashlight in an emergency. It takes forever to charge my phone even a few percent with the small panel. With this device in just 30 minutes it had charged enough for me to use it for the rest of the hike. I’d never heard of these things but I wish I woulda had one years ago.

Great— I charged my GoalZero Sherpa 100PD with this device. I charged at 55 watts from a 100 watt solar panel. This is a excellent addition to ones backpacking / car camping kit!
