Gas Generator to Watt-Hours (Wh) Conversion Chart
Gas generators store more total energy per refill, but the Rebel stores electricity directly, silently, with instant torque-free delivery and no engine runtime, fuel, or maintenance cycle.
| Generator Model | Gas tank capacity (US Gal) | Equivalent Battery Storage (kWh) |
| 3300i | 1.0 | 5.6 |
| 3500i | 2.6 | 13.4 |
| 5500 | 5.4 | 29.0 |
| 6500 | 7.9 | 34.0 |
| 8000 | 7.9 | 48.0 |
| 15500 | 14.2 | 85.0 |
RevoPower battery modules are ordered in amount of kWh (kiloWatt hours). If you're already using a gas generator, the kWh figures on the right column will provide about the same amount of power/run time as your gas generator.
This table was calculated using the following variables, with some assumptions made based on generator parameters:
- Tank capacity = specified by the generator manufacturer
- Gasoline energy density = 33.7 kWh/gal
- Running wattage = the generator’s continuous rated output in watts
- Load fraction = the fraction of rated output being used, 0.50 for 50% load
- Runtime at that load = hours the generator runs at that load, specified by the generator manufacturer
